Born and raised in the tropical Mexican state of Veracruz on 8 April 1977, Ana de la Reguera has become one of Mexico's hottest exports. She began her acting career in popular telenovela such as Azul and Pueblo Chico, Infierno Grande - for which she won a Heraldo award for best breakout female actress. More telenovela, including Todo Por Amor, which netted her a Golden Palm award. Her first movie was Dust To Dust in 2000, winning her two award nominations. Her role in the film Ladies Night was her biggest breakthrough, bringing her three awards, including the Latin America MTV's Favorite Actress. Big success continued in Hispanic movies such as Gitanas, Asà del Precipicio and Paraiso Travel. Her big Hollywood break came in 2006 when she was cast in the Jack Black movie Nacho Libre. She hosted the hosted the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America the same year and won a multi-million dollar contract to be one of the official faces of Cover Girl. Ana has continued to work in both Spanish and English language projects. The HBO mega-production Capadocia, set in a Mexican prison, in which she played Lorena Guerra, was a massive hit both in Latin America and the US. She has continued to keep her profile high in movies such as Cowboys & Aliens and Cop Out, plus recurring roles in hit US TV shows such as Eastbound & Down and Royal Pains. Fortunately for fans, sultry Ana has not been shy about baring all for her art!
