Busty Marion Cotillard is the only actor ever to win a Best Actress Oscar for a film made in the French language. She took the Oscar and a string of other awards in 2007 for playing legendary singer Édith Piaf in the biopic La Vie en Rose. She also won a Golden Globe in 2010 for the musical drama Nine. She was nominated for a second Oscar in 2014 for the Belgian movie Two Days, One Night. She has been dubbed 'The Most Bankable French Actress of the 21st Century'. She had first English-speaking role in the TV show Highlander aged 17.

Born in Paris on 30 September 1975, Marion became a big star in her native France first. She developed a real name for herself in French movies through the 1990s. She starred in all three Taxi movies, for example, which became surprise international hits. She has steadily raised her profile in English language films since 2003 when she appeared in Big Fish.
