Sexy star Erica Durance is the second Canadian actress, after Margot Kidder, to have earned fame and fortune in the role of Superman's love interest Lois Lane. Erica was only cast to play the character for a few episodes in series 4 of the hit TV show Smallville, but she so impressed producers that the guest role became a central character for the next seven seasons of the show. She also found time for a string of TV movies, and after Smallville has gone on to be cast as Dr Alex Reid, the lead role in medical drama Saving Hope.
