Amanda was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on 3 December 1985. She began working as a model from the age of 11. At 15 she broke in to acting and, for the next 4 years, landed recurring roles in the soaps As the World Turns and All My Children.
She has had a variety of other TV roles, the most successful being Veronica Mars and the critically-acclaimed HBO drama series Big Love between 2006 and 2011.
